Having competed in three tournaments last week, the HHS golf team is in its second week of competition for the season.
     This marks the inaugural season for the 3A classification in golf. Prior to this season, Holyoke has competed in 4A.
     Varsity team members were scheduled to head to Highland Meadows Wednesday, Aug. 20, to a tournament hosted by Roosevelt High School.

    The Colorado High School Activities Association's 88th year of sanctioning high school athletics in the state began when boys' golf athletes took to the practice greens Monday, Aug. 4.
     Practices in all fall sports for boys and girls, with the exception of boys' golf, formally began on Aug. 11, with the first day of competition in cross country, boys' soccer, girls' field hockey, girls' gymnastics, girls' volleyball, football and spirit slated to start on Aug. 28. Competition in boys' golf commenced Aug. 7, boys' tennis on Aug. 14 and girls' softball Aug. 15.
