Pasture to Profit beef program set for August

Colorado State University Extension and Colorado Beef Quality Assurance will present the High Plains Pasture to Profit program on Saturday, Aug. 19, in Burlington, a unique educational opportunity featuring stockmanship, stewardship and sustainability. This event welcomes cattle producers operating in all industry segments, from ranchers to stockers and cattle feeders.

The program will begin at 1 p.m. in the Farm Credit of Southern Colorado Show Pavilion. The day will begin with BQA sessions where producers can earn or renew their BQA certification. The program will continue with other educational sessions on subjects including cow herd management, feed management, using DNA tools and virtual fencing.
