| Dragon volleyball players make 2009 All-Conference list |

Four HHS volleyball players were recognized on the All-Conference volleyball list for 2009. Earning All-Conference honors were seniors Kendra Timm and Chasity Pelle. Honorable Mention All-Conference honors went to seniors Marissa Smith and Nora Roth. In addition to Timm and Pelle, other All-Conference picks were Laura Measles, Kelly Clarkson and Shelby Guy, Akron; Nikki Schmidt, Shelby Imhoff and Danielle Renaldo, Merino; Jayden Woltemath, Sedgwick County; Ashley Peterson, Wray; Kristie Linbalm, Wiggins; and Kelsey Koester, Caliche. Joining Smith and Roth on the Honorable Mention All-Conference list were Bailey Orth and Laura Beckman, Sedgwick County; Emily Owens and Larissa Conger, Merino; Alison Vasquez and Jesse Quin, Akron; Amanda Blake, Chelsey Malone and Lippitt, Wiggins; Ann Stieb, Caliche; and CJ Twist, Wray. NJC All-Star game In addition to being recognized on the All-Conference lists, Timm, Pelle, Roth and Smith were nominated to play in the NJC All-Star game. It will be held Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the NJC Bank of Colorado Event Center. Timm competes in All-State game Timm played in the 2009 Colorado All-State game Sunday, Nov. 22 in Arvada. The blue team she played on beat the red team 3-1. Timm contributed four kills, two aces and two blocks. HHS volleyball coach Sandra Rahe said it was a good experience for her, and she is proud of how she played.
