HHS boys’ jayvee basketball team started off their season with a big win in Idalia Friday, Dec. 4, dominating the game 44-13. Taking on Wray at home Saturday, Dec. 5, the Dragons fell to the Eagles, 47-82. Holyoke JV 44, Idalia 13 Holyoke led in scoring throughout the game against Idalia, leading by 10 points at halftime. The fourth quarter was their best, racking up 19 points to secure their 44-13 win over Idalia. Alex Quintana led in Dragon scoring with 15 points including two three-pointers. Jaydin Goldenstein scored 14 points, Deyten Klein seven, Chris Bieber four and Jeremy Loutensock and Austin Killin two apiece. Scoring By Quarters Holyoke—10, 6, 9, 19, --44 Idalia—2, 4, 4, 3, --13
Holyoke JV 47, Wray 82 Wray had a strong start to the game with a 22-point lead at the end of the first quarter, making it difficult for Holyoke to catch the Eagles. Wray kept up their scoring, leading in each quarter, and Holyoke suffered a 47-82 loss. At the top of the scoreboard for HHS was Quintana with 13 points followed by Goldenstein with 10, Seth Baker six, Brett Cumming and Cody Fricke four apiece, Klein and Killin three apiece and Bieber and Loutensock two apiece.
