|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Phillips County Family and Community Education members join the members across the nation in sponsoring an Essay and Artwork Contest for fourth grade students.
This contest is held annually, and the theme this year is Fairness, one of the Six Pillars of Character. Students are to write an essay and create a hand drawn picture.
This FCE nationwide contest provides an opportunity for students to improve literacy skills and develop ethical values. The contest is open to any fourth grade-level student attending public, private or home school.
The contest runs from Sept. 1 through Jan. 31. For complete information, contact Beverly Townsend, FCE Contest Chairman at 854-2212.
