Phillips County Event Center’s large meeting room will be named after the Will Heginbotham Trust due to a substantial monetary donation, announced Phillips County Commissioners Monday, Nov. 23. The formal name of the large room will be announced at a later date.
Rooms in the Event Center are named after certain people or organizations which have given substantial monetary donations to the building.
Commissioners noted there are still opportunities to donate to the Event Center and to receive a spot on the Donor Wall which is still a work in progress.
Commissioner Bud Biesemeier said the Event Center is “getting there” with many small projects still left to be done. They recently did a partial walk-through with the architect and contractor, and there is a possibility the Dragon’s Wagon Preschool could move in around Christmastime.
