Holyoke Chamber of Commerce Country Christmas will take place Tuesday, Dec. 8. Many activities are scheduled to entertain those in the Christmas spirit.
The theme this year is “Inside Santa’s Workshop.”
Running from 4-8 p.m. will be Santa’s Village at the Vet’s Hall. Image Photography will take photographs.
Cookies and hot cider will be served during Phillips County Museum open house from 4-8 p.m. Visitors may also view the ornaments made by the Elementary School students.
A soup supper sponsored by Holyoke Fire Dept. will take place at the Vet’s Hall from 5-8 p.m. A free will donation will benefit the 4th of July fireworks display. People may also guess on the number of candies in jars sponsored by the Jolly Dozen FCE Club.
A free kids’ movie “UP” will be at the Peerless Center from 5-6:30 p.m.
Lighting of the Christmas Lights will take place at 6:30 p.m. by Santa Claus and a lucky child. Winners of the Christmas tree decorating contest sponsored by Wolf Auto Center and the creative window contest sponsored by Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union will be announced.
Contact Holyoke Chamber by Friday, Dec. 4 to enter the creative window and Christmas tree decorating contests.
The Parade of Lights sponsored by PCTelcom, Highline Electric Association, Scholl Oil & Transportation and Star 92.3 will take place at 6:30 p.m. starting at the south end of town and proceeding down Interocean Avenue.
Raffle winners will be announced after the parade. Four items including a 26 inch “Huffy” bike, big green machine “Huffy” toy, 43 piece NAPA socket set and an Oak Tree shopping spree will be raffled off.
Hot cider will be served by the “Roaring” Lions Club at the Lions Club Mini Park.
Holyoke Chamber of Commerce wants to remind everyone they have a Santa suit available to rent this holiday season for company or family parties.
