HHS Boys’ C basketball team lost to Haxtun 32-40 Friday, Dec. 18 and rebounded to beat Sedgwick County 49-19 the following night at home.

Holyoke led after the opening stanza but surrendered 14 points in the second to trail 16-19 at the half. The difference stayed close throughout the third but the Bulldogs managed to hold on in the fourth to win 32-40.
Phillip Beck led with nine points followed closely by Chris Bieber and Bradley Coyne each with eight. Kris Loya and Matt Golden scored five and two respectively.Holyoke C 49, Sedgwick County 19
The Dragons hit the court running Saturday in the three quarter contest, going up by 10 after the first quarter. Holyoke put up 23 compared to the Cougars 5 in the second period to run away with the game.
Loya scored 12 followed by Beck with eight. Coyne added seven, Bieber and Logan Zeiler each with six, Golden and Joel Rodriguez four apiece and José Jaquez two.
Zeiler finished perfect from the charity stripe going 2-2.
