Two junior varsity wins were achieved by the HHS girls’ basketball team on the weekend before the holiday break.
Holyoke JV defeated Haxtun 39-23 Friday, then squeaked by Sedgwick County 30-29 Saturday, Dec. 20. Both games were only three-quarter contests.
“I am very pleased with the progress of our younger players,” said coach Arlan Scholl. The wins made it three in a row for the Dragon jayvees, as the team defeated Akron Dec. 16.
Scholl acknowledged coaches Clint Goldenstein and Rebecca Helm for their fine work with the JV and C teams.
