|HHS athletes pick up where they left off|

Athletes will hit the courts, mats and pools as winter sports pick back up after the winter break. Coaches and players get back into the swing of things as classes resumed at Holyoke schools Tuesday, Jan. 5.
HHS wrestlers return to the mat running as they were scheduled to hit the home mats Thursday, Jan. 7 for the league tournament set to begin at 3 p.m. Things won’t stop there as Saturday, HHS is scheduled to travel to Ft. Collins for wrestling action.
After the two big tournaments, the team will get a week of break until they travel to Poudre Valley on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Basketball teams will travel to Merino Friday, Jan. 8 with games scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Varsity boys look to improve upon their 5-1 record against the Rams. The Dragons fell short in the season opener against Idalia but came back with five straight wins before the winter break.
The girls look to improve upon their 2-4 record.
Wiggins will come to Holyoke Saturday, Jan. 9 with tip-off scheduled for 3 p.m.
The next games will be played as round two of the Phillips County Shoot-off takes place in Haxtun Friday, Jan. 15 with games scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
HHS swimmers competing on Sterling High School’s swim team will get back in the pool at the Greeley West Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 9. Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Swimmers will then host Eaton at the Sterling Recreation Center on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.
