Board of directors of the Republican River Water Conservation District will hold its regular quarterly meeting at the Burlington Community and Education Center in Burlington, Thursday, Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Items on the agenda include: approving the minutes from the previous meetings; approve quarterly financials; receive reports on various recent meetings and programs; presentation by Tim Carney, Assistant State Conservationist, NRCS; various board action items; discuss and receive input from the public regarding construction of the Compact Compliance Pipeline; designate District official posting site; authorize change of use for North Fork surface water rights under lease from Yuma County Water Authority PID; discuss applying for change of use on water rights purchased on the South Fork; consider a potential Washington D.C. legislative trip; consider a resolution to authorize the Vice President to sign checks in excess of $1,000; review job descriptions of General Manager and Assistant Manager; authorize transfer of funds from checking account to purchase certificates of deposit; consider General Manager’s salary for 2010; as well as other matters.
If necessary, the RRWCD board of directors will hold an executive session to develop a strategy for negotiations for the purchase, acquisition or lease of water rights, easements and property and to receive advice on legal questions, and to discuss personnel matters.
