|MV Equipment sees ownership change|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
MV Equipment (with five locations in Holyoke, Sterling, Wray, Yuma and Burlington), announced a change in ownership Jan. 1.
Until the first of this year, the John Deere business was owned by Cal West and Robert Kircher of Sterling and Jerry and Shelley McArthur of Burlington.
West and Kircher sold their interest to the McArthurs. Sterling will continue to remain the company headquarters, and Jerry McArthur will plan to spend much of his time at the Sterling location.
MV is the John Deere dealer in Northeastern Colorado with agriculture, turf and commercial worksite products. MV Equipment is also John Deere’s commercial spray dealer for the state of Colorado.
McArthur’s family has been in the John Deere business since 1938. Jerry and his wife Shelley have two sons in the business, Cody and Traver.
Jerry said MV Equipment will continue to provide its customers with excellent parts, sales and service like it has in the past.
West said he will continue to be busy with other projects and will have more time for riding his Harleys and spending time with his wife Jennifer at their home in Arizona. More traveling will definitely be in the future.
West added after 32 years with John Deere in Northeastern Colorado, the green and yellow will always have a special place in his memories.
