Northeastern Colorado is targeted for funding through an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contractor expansion grant.
This grant provides funding to local businesses and non-profits that provide residential energy efficiency services for the purpose of business expansion and new employee training costs. The Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) will hold a voluntary applicant question and answer webinar for this grant on Friday, Jan. 22 from 10 a.m.-noon.
The webinar will cover best practices and grant guidelines. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to provide written questions regarding the application at that time via the webinar portal. The GEO will be unable to answer any questions pertaining to individual project proposals.
Responses will be answered in writing and posted on the GEO Web site by 5 p.m. Jan. 29. Applicants should not rely on any other statements, either written or oral, regarding this application during the open solicitation period.
Applicants should not contact GEO staff or any other state office or individual regarding this application. Register for the webinar at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/341679832.
“This is a grant opportunity for the local energy and insulation contractors to expand their capacity,” East Regional Representative Bob Mailander said. “This is a great opportunity for a local business to get financial assistance with training or equipment needed to offer energy efficiency services to a community.”
