|1st and 3rd graders hit stage for 'The Rainbow Connection'|

The HHS auditorium was full of first and third graders Tuesday, April 13 for their annual concert. Marcia Dalton directed the show titled “The Rainbow Connection.”
The show featured colorful hats, train conductor hats and a pot of gold. Students took turns narrating the story as many students had memorized multiple lines. Songs were sung by soloists, small groups and the entire choir made up of all the students.
After all was said and done, 10 songs had been performed by the students. The evening ended when the kids went into the audience to pull someone on stage to join them in a Chicken Dance Medley.
The first song titled On the Rainbow Express was performed by both the first and third graders. Conductors were Cash Adler, Manuel Rodriguez, Kelyn Goldenstein, Zander Salyers, Alex Vieselmeyer, Cole LeBlanc, Keegan Shaw, Andrea Becerra and Brenna Sullivan.
Serving as narrators for the first song were Dylan Miles, Maritza Quintana, Jerrid Reitz, Ashlyn Churchwell, Rafael Morales, Corben McCallum and Gabi Gordon.
Special group members Laura Conde Soto, Riley Ferguson, Jacquelyn Gonzalez, Nadia Monreal Santiesteban, Jillian Warren, DaKiria Dasher, Llaneli Barajas Duran, Fantasia Ruybal, Blanca Martinez, Maura Castillo, Katy Voigt, Jaydy Dominguez, Paola Ruiz, Genevieve Maldonado, Taylor Trumper, Jordaine Lanckriet and Gabi Gordon performed A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.
Conductors for the song were Dalton McMurrin, Emma Roll, Jesus Trejo-Arvizo, Trent Huffman, Jaydy Dominguez and Kaylee Camblin. Narrators were Zach Overton, Jordaine Lanckriet, Paola Ruiz, Rebekkah St. Martin, Kyra Loutensock, Jaromi Olivas and Savannah Burris.
All of the students performed My Favorite Things as Karime Castillo served as the conductor and Jakob Knutson, Maura Castillo and Erick Garcia Hernandez were the narrators.
If I Were a Rich Man was performed by special group members Andrew Rafols, Dalton McMurrin, Isaiah Houghtelling, Zander Salyers, Wilson Mayfield, Michael Pell, Jesse Vasa, Kaison Kinnie, Corben McCallum, Jerrid Reitz, Tate Dille, Alec Sprague, Erick Garcia Hernandez, Trent Huffman and Dylan Miles.
Conductors were Sebastian Cazares and Ashley Rahe. Emily Anderson, Ximena Chavez Vazquez, Alec Sprague, Yeidy Mendoza Gonzalez, Alicia Astorga, Reghan Archibeque, Katy Voigt and Genevieve Maldonado were the narrators.
The first soloists of the night were Emali Torres and Ashley Rahe as they joined group members Savannah Burris, Chloie Metzger, Haley Van Overbeke, Perla Olivas, Nayely Banuelos, Madeline Maldonado, Yovana Iniguez, Rylee Schneller, Kyra Loutensock, Reghan Archibeque, Darlee McMurrin, Serina Almeida, Loren Jo Oberle, Jaromi Olivas, Kaylee Camblin, Emma Roll and Rebekkah St. Martin in singing Lavender Blue.
Conductors for the song were Rylan Archibeque, Juan Diaz III and Aaron Dominguez.
Riley Ferguson, Jacqui Gonzalez, Aaron Sierra, Nadia Monreal Santiesteban, Christian Inerarity, Levi Wright and Haley Van Overbeke were the narrators.
Blanca Martinez and Tate Dille were the narrators for Big Dreams which was sung by all the students.
The Beatles comprised of Keegan Shaw, Cash Adler, Zach Overton and Jakob Knutson made the girls in the front row go crazy as they performed She Loves You. Narrators were Perla Olivas, Ethan Andersen, Emali Torres, Lane Lanckriet, Chloie Metzger and Giselle Prieto Figueroa.
Camelot was performed by soloists Gabi Gordon, Kyra Loutensock, Andrea Becerra, Savannah Burris and Brenna Sullivan.
Conductors were Erick Marroquin, Jesse Vasa, Jillian Warren, Loren Jo Oberle, Darlee McMurrin and Michael Pell. Serving as narrators were Yoletzi Loya, Austin Durbin, Nayely Banuelos, Rylee Schneller, Fantasia Ruybal, Yovana Iniguez, Angela Almeida, Madeline Maldonado, Wilson Mayfield, Eduardo Quintana, Kaison Kinnie, Isaiah Houghtelling, Taylor Trumper and Colten Mitteis.
The second to last song was The Rainbow Connection performed by soloists Ashlyn Churchwell and Brenna Sullivan with the help of group members Savannah Burris, Gabi Gordon, Kyra Loutensock, Andrea Becerra and Jaromi Olivas. The first and third grade choir also chipped in. Danny Vernon held what many thought to be a pot of gold but in fact it held a golden star.
Conductors were Andrew Rafols, Yeidi Juarez, Angel Martinez Leon, Llaneli Barajas Duran, Serina Almeida, Cade Killin, Alondra Bencomo, Laura Conde Soto and DaKiria Dasher.
The final song of the night brought soloists Ashlyn Churchwell, Andrea Becerra and Jaromi Olivas together with all the other students to perform The Rainbow Connection.
