Colorado high school athletes have been honored on the Denver Post’s Best of the Best listing for outstanding performance. A number of Holyoke High School athletes were included in the track listings.

Individuals earning first team status include Kyle Carper in the triple jump and Marissa Smith in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes. The 4x200 relay team, comprised of Mallory Bennett, Heather Duester, Smith and Marci Vasa, was also named first team for their new 2A State Meet record time in the event.

Honorable mention went to Jeremy Loutensock in the 1600 meter run and Carper in the long jump. The 800 meter sprint medley team, including Shelby Beavers, Bennett, Duester and Vasa, also received honorable mention.
