|Master Chorale to perform Dec. 12|

A Renaissance Christmas featuring the number “Here We Go A-Caroling” will open the “Nineteenth Noel,” a Christmas concert.
The Master Chorale, under the direction of Don Johnson, will perform Sunday, Dec. 12, at 4 p.m., at the Dorothy Corsberg Theater, Northeastern Junior College in Sterling.
The Master Chorale will perform many pieces including “A Renaissance Christmas,” “In The Bleak Midwinter,” “A Song of Christmas,” “Lo, How a Rose,” “Share the Spirit of Christmas,” “Little Bethlehem Town,” “O Magnum Mysterium” and “This Little Babe.” The Chorale will close the first half with “Ave Maria” followed by “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
At intermission, the Hospice of the Plains Tree of Lights will be presented.
A special performance by Dave Mann and his amazing strings will feature “Mary’s Boy Child” and “A Christmas Song.”
The second half will open with “Star Carol.” The Chorale will continue with “Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind,” “An Irving Berlin Christmas,” “Look-A That Star,” featuring the men of the Chorale. The women of the Chorale will be presenting the world premier of the octavo, “The Spirit of Christmas,” written by Lynnsey J. Lambrecht, a Sterling native.
The Master Chorale will continue with “Christmas Choral Fantasy,” “The Christmas Waltz,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Mele Kalikimaka.”
The Chorale will close the concert with “Rise Up Shepherd, And Follow!”
Members of the Master Chorale are from Akron, Fleming, Iliff, Merino and Sterling.
