With two big away games Friday and Saturday, Dec. 17 and 18, Holyoke’s jayvee girls’ basketball team finished with a loss against Brush and a win over Sedgwick County.


Holyoke JV 24, Brush 54

The JV team struggled to put up the baskets in Brush on Friday night. The Beetdiggers outscored them in all four quarters, building up a big lead over the Dragons.

Top scorer for Holyoke was Marissa Chambers with nine points followed by Maddie King with seven, KrisAnna Ham three, Molly Brandt and Chandler Gerk two apiece and Jordan Bernard one.


Holyoke JV 29, Sedgwick County 13

Playing a three-quarter game Saturday night in Ovid, Holyoke outscored Sedgwick County in all three quarters for the 29-13 win.

Leading Dragon scoring was Chambers with 10 followed by Gerk with five, Ham and Erin Vieselmeyer four apiece, King three, Jordan Zeiler two and Bernard one.
