Jack Frost blows through area PDF Print E-mail
Written by Holyoke Enterprise

Nearly a week after Holyoke and the surrounding area received its first major snowfall of the winter,
another storm rolled through dumping more of the white stuff. Snow began to fall late Saturday night
and continued throughout the day Sunday. A total of 3.2 inches fell leaving city crews busy Monday
morning, Jan. 10 clearing streets.

Forecasts warned of bitter cold temperatures accompanying the massive storm that blanketed much of the
country. Along with the snow came some of the coldest temperatures of the season. The mercury fell to
minus 15 degrees Monday night, according to National Weather Service official weather observer Dan Kafka.
