Lady Dragon C team action last week found the local girls suffering three losses. They lost on the road at Benkelman, Neb. 21-33, fell to Wray at home 13-38 and suffered a 19-32 loss at Burlington.
Holyoke C 21, Dundy Co. 33 Dundy County led throughout the Tuesday ball game in Benkelman, claiming the 12-point win. Patricia Adams led Holyoke’s scoring with nine points, Shayna Oosthuysen six, KrisAnna Ham four and Pilu Lund two. Scoring By Quarters Holyoke 8 6 5 2 --21 Dundy County 14 5 6 8 --33
Holyoke C 13, Wray 38 In a three-quarter ball game Friday, Wray’s C team pulled ahead early, with a 10-4 first quarter lead. The visiting Eagles dominated 10-4 and 16-5 in the final two periods to take the big 38-13 win. Holyoke C 19, Burlington 32 What started out as an even C team ball game clearly became Burlington’s in the second half. The score was knotted at 10-10 at halftime, but the Cougars dominated 22-9 in the second half to claim the 32-19 win. Emily Bradley paced the Lady Dragons with six points, while Adams added five, Rafert three, Becca Brandt two, Ella Stewart two and Daniel one.
