C boys go 4-3 over last few weeks of play PDF Print E-mail

The Holyoke C boys’ basketball team captured four victories and fell three times over their last seven ball games.

Wins came against Wiggins, Akron, Burlington and Wray. The Dragons fell to Yuma, Caliche and Haxtun.


Holyoke C 32, Yuma 59

The Dragons hosted Yuma Tuesday, Jan. 18 and fell 32-59. Logan Tharp led the scoring with 16 points followed by Logan Zeiler six, Ryan Parker and Zach Roll three and Tanner Smith and Matt Golden two apiece.


Holyoke C 58, Wiggins 47

Chris Bieber led the Dragons with 17 points in their 58-47 victory over Wiggins Friday, Jan. 21.

Others scoring for Holyoke were Golden with 13, Saul Ramos eight, Roll seven, Phillip Beck six, Parker four, Mike Kuehl two and Pekka Roivas one.


Holyoke C 29, Haxtun 57

Holyoke fell behind early and never could claw their way back into a 29-57 loss to Haxtun Monday, Jan. 24. Roll led the Dragons with 14 points followed by Golden five, Beck four and Parker and Smith each with three.


Holyoke C 33, Akron 14

Another win was picked up by the C team Friday, Jan. 28 on their home court against Akron. Bieber led the team with 13 points in the Dragons 33-14 win. Roll scored nine, Beck seven and Golden four to round out scoring.


Holyoke C 25, Caliche 26

A one-point game went in favor of Caliche Saturday, Jan. 29. The teams kept the score close the entire game but Holyoke was unable to top their visitors and fell 25-26.

Beck led scoring with 11 followed by Golden six, Roll three, Bieber and Zeiler two and Tharp one.


Holyoke C 31, Burlington 18

Holyoke grabbed a 31-18 win when they traveled to Burlington Friday, Feb. 4. Parker led the team with 10 points. Smith scored eight, Bieber seven, Ramos four and Roivas two.


Holyoke C 68, Wray 40

The Dragons handed Wray a 68-40 loss Saturday, Feb. 5.

Holyoke jumped ahead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Tharp led all scorers with 20 points followed by Bieber 14, Smith and Golden nine apiece, Ramos eight, Parker four and Beck and Philip Buck two each.
