Mardi Gras Ball raises funds for MMH Foundation

Roughly 200 people turned out for the Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball held Saturday,
Feb. 26 at Phillips County Event Center. Formal attire, masks and costumes filled the
room including those sitting at Holyoke Marketplace’s table. Pictured from left, front
row, are Eric Conklin, Penny Dockins, Dolly Smith and Jennifer Hannan; and back row,
Mike and Sherry Simms and Misty Dockins.
Approximately $40,000 was raised during the event. Food provided by Jacks Bean Co.
and Diversified Foods and Seasoning was prepared by Kristie’s Katering. Both a silent
and regular auction were held with the help of auctioneer Lloyd Michael, Jr. of Michael
Auction Service. The event was co-chaired by Steve and Kim Young. Dance music was
provided by “Night Riders” of Grant, Neb.
Julie and Ivan Wiebke enjoyed the dance floor during the
