Three fabulous young tenors from Canada will appear in Ogallala, Neb. Tuesday, April 12 at the Ogallala High School Lecture Hall at 7 p.m. This extraordinary concert is sponsored by the Ogallala Regional Arts Council.
Philip Grant, Todd Jang and Frederik Robert have been identified as “three talented, young, classically trained lyric tenors who have separately been delighting audiences across North America and Europe.
Now together as ROMANZA, they have been winning people’s hearts everywhere they perform. It has been quoted that these three tenors have mesmerized the crowds with the melodic blending tones of their voices, and at times has the crowd roaring with laughter at the humorous antics of the trio.
They have earned a reputation as fun loving, approachable and talented artists. This trio has been a show-stopper wherever they have toured.
ROMANZA’s repertoire includes the opera arias that everyone loves to hear, songs from musical theatre, the movies, pops classics, love ballads and some folk tunes.
Accompanied by their talented trio of violin, piano and bass, ROMANZA sings original arrangements of such favorites as O Sole Mio, Nella Fanatasia, Danny Boy, On the Street Where You Live, Ganada, the Impossible Dream and Because.
This is the final performance of the concert season, and with deep gratitude for the generous memorial for Anne Svoboda, the Arts Council members dedicate this concert to her. Svoboda was one of the founding members of the Ogallala Regional Arts Council. Her vision to bring professional programs to the area and to improve public awareness of the arts continues today.
Refreshments will be served following the performance. Tickets may be purchased at the door. This concert is supported by the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. For more information, call 308-284-3203.
