|Two years later: Bret Miles and the school's progress|
|Written by Kaylee Camblin, Holyoke fourth-grader|
With almost two years under his belt, Superintendent Bret Miles recently answered some questions about the changes in the school and the direction that the school is headed.
One of the obvious changes at the school is some of the new technology. Miles explained, “I’m excited because it is keeping the kids interested and the teachers are able to teach faster.” When asked what he thought the kids opinions were, he said the teachers have good reports and the kids act like they like it.
Many schools are very worried about their futures because of the difficult times we are in. When asked if he thought the school was going in the right direction, he responded, “Yes, we have some very clear and high goals.”
Is he worried about the school’s future? “I am worried about the funding because the state is sending schools less money this year and we are going to have to reach our goals with fewer resources.”
After moving here almost two years ago, Miles and his family are settling into the community. “We love it!” He enjoys working here and has many friends here.
