|CSAP, parent-teacher conferences on school schedule next week|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Parent-teacher conferences and grade 6-10 CSAP testing are scheduled in Holyoke School District Re-1J next week. There will be no school at the end of the week, on Friday, March 20.
CSAP testing is scheduled for students in grades 6-10 March 16-19, and juniors and seniors will not have school at all during the week.
Students taking CSAPs must be at school by 8:45 a.m., as testing will start promptly at that time. Those who are late will not be allowed to start testing, and therefore will have to make the tests up. Students will be dismissed at 3:32 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Parent-teacher conferences planned at both buildings
Parent-teacher conferences will be held for JR/SR High students Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17; and at the elementary school Tuesday and Thursday, March 17 and 19.
Parents of elementary students should have received letters designating scheduled conference times this week. Fifteen-minute conferences have been planned for students in grades K-4, while 20-minute sessions will be conducted for the student-led fifth grade conferences.
Parents of students in grades 6-12 should have received letters last week with scheduled student-led conference times with the student’s ILT or exploratory teacher.
Walk-in times to visit other classroom teachers follow: junior high teachers, Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 4-6 p.m.; and high school teachers, Monday from 4-6 p.m. and Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
Additionally, an ACT test preparation workshop for interested parents and students will be held Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
A community clean-up performed by JR/SR High students will take place Wednesday and Thursday, March 18-19 from 2-3:30 p.m. Both days will also include a food drive, so residents are urged to have canned food ready to pick up. On March 18, the food drive will cover the west side of town, with the east side being covered on March 19.
