Superstar readers are sure to be busy as bees as the Heginbotham Library kicks off its summer reading programs.

Two different reading programs will be offered with students in fourth grade and under gathering on Wednesday afternoons for the “Bee a Reader” program and those entering fifth grade and up meeting on Friday afternoons for the “Be a Star at Your Library” program.

Numerous activities are planned for each age group throughout the program including karaoke, crafts, games and a murder mystery movie event.

Registration for the younger group was Wednesday, June 8 from 1-3 p.m. Activity times are scheduled from 1-1:45 p.pm June 15, 22, 29 and July 6.

The older kids will register Friday, June 10 from 1-3 p.m. at the library. Activity days include karaoke on June 24, a Hollywood craft on July 1 and a luncheon/murder mystery movie event as the finale on July 8.

Librarian Laura Roth, Emily Bradley and Naomi Schafer are helping lead the programs.
