Holyoke’s junior high A basketball team picked up one win and one loss at the A tournament to bring the 2011 season to a close Saturday, Dec. 10 in Haxtun.

The boys beat St. Anthony’s and fell to Haxtun.

The Dragons ran into a tough Haxtun team in the first game and fell 23-32.

Bradley Cumming led the team with nine points followed by Jesus Loya eight and Dominic Krogmeier six.

Loya led the Dragons with 19 points in the 44-36 win over St. Anthony’s. Cumming scored 10, Alex Yanez six, Avi Turcios four, Jesus Martinez and Marques Harvey two and Krogmeier one.

Holyoke’s B team hosted a tournament Saturday, Dec. 3 and came away with one win and one loss.

The Dragons lost a close 27-30 game to Haxtun. Alex Strauss led with 12 points, Kaide Bules nine, Austin Herman four and Brendan Mayden two.

Holyoke beat St. Anthony’s 33-9. Strauss scored 15, Bules five, Tyler Camblin and Tristan Sullivan four, Herman three and Mayden two.
