|Junior high boys find success over Haxtun and Caliche|

Holyoke’s junior high boys’ basketball played host to Haxtun Monday, Nov. 28 and won two out of the three games.
The A team won 38-31. Jesus Loya led the way with 17 points followed by Bradley Cumming with six, Alex Yanez five, Taylor Mayden four, Edgar Cruz, Marques Harvey and Dominic Krogmeier with two.
Holyoke’s B team fell 17-24 to the Bulldogs. Alex Strauss scored seven points, Kaide Bules six and Hunter Razo and Austin Herman two.
The C team won 33-17 with Avi Turcios scoring 12 points, Zach Churchwell and Wyatt McCallum six, Jahir Gardea, Tony Roberts, Jesus Martinez, Tyler Loutensock two and Jack Smith one.
Thursday, Dec. 8, the Dragons took on Caliche on the home court.
All three teams managed to put away the Buffaloes.
The A team won 28-23 with Loya, Cumming and Yanez each scoring six points. Cruz and Krogmeier each had four while Fernando Lopez had two.
Holyoke’s B team won 36-15. Strauss led the team with 11 points followed by Bules and Herman with 10, Gunnar Kroeger and Churchwell two and Tyler Camblin one.
The C team prevailed 12-0 after two quarters of play. Turcios scored four while Norman Mendoza, Dylon Lousberg, Gardea and Xander Nelson each had two.
