Five Years Ago R.T. and Linda Lindley of Holy “OK” Ranch team up with Deb Dusenbury of Speer Cushion Company to create The ORIGINAL Hydrotherapy Leg Tube™, which provides hydrotherapy for four-legged animals with wounds or aches and pains. Douglas Moss of Holyoke attained the highest rank of Boy Scouting and entered the Eagle Scout brotherhood in a Feb. 17 ceremony at the Lions Den in Holyoke.
Mary Tomky has been named the new director of Holyoke Chamber of Commerce. Two arrests are pending in a series of fires which were started throughout the city and county late Sunday, Feb. 17. Three trash fires and two grass fires were started late Sunday evening around 11 p.m. One of the suspects involved in the Feb. 8 robbery of the Pizza Hut in Imperial, Neb. has apparently been linked to a bank robbery in Albuquerque, N.M.
The Cove Promotions, owned by Steve and Jan Wood, recently opened for business at 215 N. Interocean. The Cove is involved with printing shirts, caps, signs, bumper stickers, banners and other advertising promotional items such as pens and keychains. An expansion in sales of Bible covers has prompted ComforThings owners Verne and Valerie Bullock to move their headquarters from 103 E. Emerson to a larger site at 426 E. Denver. One man died and another man was injured late Sunday afternoon when an airplane they were flying crashed on a farmstead southwest of Brandon, Neb.
Tony Klatka, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klatka of Holyoke, a freshman at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., will be featured on trumpet at the annual Richard Levy composition award concert March 21 at Boston’s New England Life Hall. The Holyoke Farm Supply basketball team will challenge Moore’s All American Red Heads, world champion girls’ basketball team, on the local courts April 7. Cindy Colver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.O. Colver of Holyoke, will be appearing in the chorus of Little Theatre of the Rockies’ production of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
