Seventeen Holyoke students traveled to University of Northern Colorado in Greeley Saturday, March 3 to compete in the annual History Day competition.
Holyoke history teachers Luke Thomas and Nic Balog said the students have been working hard since the beginning of the semester on their topics. This year’s History Day theme was “Reaction, Reform and Revolution.”
All eighth-grade and sophomore American History students worked in both history and language arts classes on their projects.
“The competition went well and our students did an excellent job representing the Holyoke School District,” Thomas said.
