|Rodeo queen clinic planned for May 19-20 in Sterling|

Logan County is hosting the 2nd Annual Northeast Colorado Queen’s Clinic for girls ages 5-21 Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20 in Sterling.
Saturday’s session from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. will be held in the 4-H Extension office meeting room. Sunday’s focus from 1-5 p.m. will be horsemanship at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
Topics to be covered in the clinic are application, interview techniques, impromptu questions, public speaking, hair, make-up, western fashion, modeling, sponsors, horsemanship, equine issues, queen’s wave and running flags.
Guest presenters include Richard Gillham, custom saddlemaker; Andrea Waitley, public speaking; Michelle Custer, Mary Kay cosmetics; Mike Coakley, DVM, equine health; and Roy Gillham, horsemanship.
Saturday’s session will conclude with a clothing sale where attendees will be able to purchase some rodeo queen attire and accessories.
For Sunday’s horsemanship part of the clinic, those attending should take their horse they intend to use.
