The new playground at Homesteaders Park received one of the final touches recently when the rubber surface was installed under the playground equipment. Phillips County Administration office said the playground has a few minor things to be finished, but is open for people to use at their own risk.

The next project to be completed will be an enhancement project that will supply lights, benches, a Frisbee golf course and a fence around the turf field. That project should get under way soon, according to the administrator’s office.
