Holyoke Dragon tracksters are making their way toward the end of the season, after competing at the Dick Evans Invitational in Wray last Saturday, April 28.
Coach Sandra Rahe said the weather was nice and the kids ran well. Most of them ended up with an “easy” day with only two or three events because they left early for the Holyoke Prom that evening.
Senior Alex Quintana had another personal best in the 400 meter dash, where he captured first place with a time of :51.35. He also brought home a gold medal in the 110 meter hurdles.
Rahe said the girls are close to qualifying a relay team, but they’ll need to work a little harder this week to get that accomplished.
