Hospice of the Plains honors individuals who offer extraordinary service to the organization and to the families served each quarter. For this past quarter, the Wray office recognizes the work done by Carol Dowell and Jim Brophy for the outstanding service they have provided to patients in the Yuma area.
Dowell has been a Hospice volunteer since 1999. She has done a beautiful job each Christmas with the Tree of Lights Memorial Service in Yuma. In addition, she volunteers for Hospice by providing care for patients both in their homes and at the nursing home.
Brophy has been a Hospice volunteer since 1997. He has always been willing to provide service to families at a moment’s notice whether it is early in the morning or late at night. Brophy is also an avid supporter of Hospice golf tournaments.
Dowell and Brophy have shown a great commitment to the organization and their enthusiasm is contagious. Those interested in joining them in the volunteer ranks should visit with them or call 970-332-4116 for more information.
