Haxtun Conservation District will be hosting its 6th Annual Backyard Conservation Camp June 4-5 for kids entering fourth through eighth grades. This year the camp will be traveling to the east edge of Phillips County to visit a site where prehistoric Stegomastodon remains have been discovered. Richard Stucky from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science will be guiding the group through the tour. There are also a number of other wonderful educators and exciting activities planned. As always the camp promises two fun-filled educational days. Contact the Haxtun Conservation District office at 854-2812 ext. 110 to register. There is no charge to attend this camp and meals and snacks will be provided. Holyoke Enterprise May 17, 2012 |
