For the second year, Colorado tracksters qualified for the state meet by ranking in the top 18 times/distances for each event.
This is Quintana’s third appearance at the state meet. As a sophomore in 2010, he placed fourth in the 300 meter hurdles and was on the fourth-place 4x800 meter relay team. This year, he aims to better his placing in the four events he competed in last year as a junior. In 2011, he placed fourth in the 110 meter hurdles, fifth in the 300 meter hurdles, seventh in the 800 meter run and eighth in the 400 meter run.
Parker also competed at the 2011 state championship in the 4x800 meter relay.
