From the Barbary Coast to Montego Bay, and from the Renaissance to present-day, music was diverse and sweet as band students in grades 5-12 performed in their spring band concert Thursday, May 10 in the HHS auditorium.

Interwined nicely with the musical entertainment was the presentation of awards in each band group, given by director Shauna Close. Also recognized for assisting with piano accompaniment was Holyoke vocal music teacher Marcia Dalton.

Rachel Schneider was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and Alyssa Cordova received the John Philip Sousa Band Award.
