|Pirates, chefs meet at library|

Readers will be cooking up some fun as they set sail for the Heginbotham Library summer reading programs.
Two different reading programs will be offered with children 3 years old through fourth grade gathering on Wednesday afternoons for the “Books Ahoy” program and those entering fifth grade through eighth grade meeting on Friday afternoons for the “What’s Cookin’ at the Library?” program.
Registration for the younger group is Monday, June 4 from 1-3 p.m. Activity times are scheduled from 1-1:45 p.m. June 6, 13, 20 and 27.
The older kids will register Friday, June 8 starting at 1 p.m. followed by a movie party at the library. Activity days include a chopped competition on June 15 from 1-3 p.m., a karaoke and potluck lunch on June 22 from 1-3 p.m. and a finale/road trip tentatively scheduled for June 29.
Librarian Laura Roth, Nora Ann Roth, Emily Bradley and Naomi Schafer are helping lead the programs. For more information contact the library at 854-2597.
