Holyoke Swimming Pool will open for summer swim hours Friday, June 1. A full staff of qualified lifeguards is led by manager Karla Pargas.

Open swim hours for the summer include Tuesday through Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

Lap swim hours are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday from 5-6 p.m.

Water exercise sessions are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Parent/tot classes will be held Tuesdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Pargas is in her sixth year as Holyoke’s pool manager and has 14 years experience as a lifeguard and water safety instructor.

Other employees include water exercise instructors DeeAnn Dubbert, with over 40 years of experience; and Corey Humphreys, 20 years.

Lifeguards include Ashley Hoffner, nine years; Tanisha Bules, seven years, Pamela McWilliams, five years; Briar Bergner, four years; Kaylee Groshans, four years, Laura Gerk, three years; Jeremy Loutensock, three years; Jordan Zeiler, three years; Alyssa Roll, three years; Amy Krogmeier, three years; Erin Vieselmeyer, two years; and Molly Brandt, two years. One-year lifeguards are Malena McWilliams, Tanner Smith, Ashley Humphreys and Lindsay Helgoth.
