Animal clinic set for Sat.
City of Holyoke and Phillips County are partnering for the annual animal clinic this Saturday, June 16 from 9-11 a.m. at Holyoke Vet Service.
City ordinance requires any and all dogs harbored within the City of Holyoke be licensed. All dogs must be vaccinated every other year with antirabies vaccine, and proof from a licensed veterinarian is necessary before the City dog license is issued.
It’s strongly encouraged that all dogs and cats within the county be vaccinated. Additional vaccines are also available Saturday. Contact Holyoke Vet Service, 854-3800, for animal records.
Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department was called to a mutual assist fire with Haxtun Thursday, June 7 at 7:55 p.m. They were able to turn around before arriving at the scene.
