Wray’s 13th annual outdoor quilt show, “Quilts of the Plains,” will be held Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Main Street and the Wray Museum.
Presented by the City of Wray, the show is hosted by the Wray Chamber of Commerce with multiple sponsors.
There will be vendors’ booths set up downstairs at 4th & Main, as well as a silent auction. Show viewers will be able to vote on winning quilts awards and a best of show award. Out-of-town entries are encouraged.
There will be an open sewing night at RR Branded, 305 Main Street in Wray, Friday evening, June 22, sponsored by the local quilt guild, Quilter’s Anonymous. Quilters are welcome to bring any project they are working on and spend an evening with friends. There will be some items on display to give an idea what this group is all about.
A raffle is being conducted for a beautiful patchwork quilt. The quilt is on display in the window at Rainbow Fabrics.
Those who would like to volunteer some time to help with Quilts of the Plains should note there is a party at the home of Joe Foltmer and Brian Clements at 403 Franklin in Wray Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided for all volunteers, and final assignments will be given at that time. Those who can help should contact Wanda Harford or Shana Gardner.
Quilts of the Plains helps the Wray Chamber of Commerce in their mission to provide activities such as Wray Daze and the Harvest Festival each year.
