Northeastern Junior College graduated its most recent class of practical nurses during a pinning ceremony and reception held Thursday, June 21 on campus in Sterling.
Twenty-five women received pins and the right to apply to take the NCLEX-PN examination to obtain practical nurse licensure.
Local students completing the training and being recognized during the ceremony were Sheri Knight of Holyoke and Tiffany Maelzer of Amherst.
Knight was presented with the Highest Academic Average Award by representative Rob Nichols from the Sterling Rotary Club. Knight led the class in academic performance.
