Kipp Struckmeyer, Steve Schafer and JD Holcomb made up the three-man Wages Fire Dept. race team at the state races held in Cripple Creek June 14-16.

Schafer earned a first-place trophy for the one-man hydrant race.

The trio came together to earn a third place and three fourth-place trophies.

They took third in the stationary apparatus and fourth in the change over race, inline race and team event.

The team also completed 24 man hours of training involving officer training, fire flow and hybrid/electric car rescue.
