Enterprise asks for early copy
Because of the Labor Day holiday Monday, Sept. 3, staff members at The Holyoke Enterprise would appreciate having information for news stories and advertisements for the next issue by Friday, Aug. 31.
No school Mon.
There will be no school in Holyoke Monday, Sept. 3 due to the Labor Day holiday.
Family Ed registration is Tuesday, Sept. 4
Registration for ESL and GED classes at Phillips County Family Education Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 4. After-School Homework Help Program starts Sept. 10. Call 970-854-2595 for more information.
College student info sought
In upcoming editions, The Holyoke Enterprise will be printing information about local area college students.
Parents are encouraged to contact the Enterprise office with the following information: student’s name, parents’ names, school attending, location of school, major and any other pertinent information such as clubs, activities, athletics, etc.
Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department was called to an anhydrous ammonia leak Friday night, Aug. 24 around 6:40 p.m. A truck carrying anhydrous tanks was stopped near Golden Plains Motel when a tank was found to be leaking. HVFD escorted the truck to Grainland Cooperative’s east location (Tin City).
Shortly after 10 p.m. the siren summoned firefighters again to assist and back up Colorado State Patrol’s Hazardous Materials unit.
