|Adler, Woodhead crowned season champs at Phillips County Raceway|

Holyoke’s Jacob Adler and Mike “Woody” Woodhead were named track champions in their respective divisions Friday night, Aug. 24 at Phillips County Raceway.
Woodhead narrowly edged out Austin Davis of Benkelman, Neb. by four points, 362-358, to claim the PCR IMCA Hobby Stock title. Adler finished just nine points in front of Shane Stout of North Platte, Neb. in the IMCA Northern Sport Mod class.
Holyoke’s Garrett Sporhase finished in second place behind Jeremy Frenier of Fort Morgan in the IMCA Modified division. Sporhase captured 351 points—40 behind the young Frenier who won five races in Holyoke this season. Frenier took runner-up honors three times, third once and fourth once.
Mike Lininger of Amherst finished in fourth place in the Sport Mod division. Ivan Wiebke of Holyoke finished fifth in the IMCA Stock Car season standings while Ron Edge of Holyoke finished fifth in the IMCA Hobby Stock standings.
