Holyoke golfers continue to impress PDF Print E-mail

Holyoke boys’ golf team continues to improve and play well.

Holyoke played host to a league varsity and junior varsity tournament Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Holyoke Golf Club. The HHS varsity team continues to hold the top spot in the league after coming away with another win.

HHS shot a 246 after rounds of 80 from Keaton Arkulari and Deyten Klein and an 86 by Gage Garnas. Kody Timm carded a 113 to round out varsity scoring.

Arkulari and Klein’s 80s were low scores for the tournament.

On the junior varsity side, Holyoke A placed first with a nine-hole team score of 171. Holyoke B came in fourth after shooting a 185.

For Holyoke A, Wyatt Bishop shot a 56, Nathan Miles 57, Tanner Smith 58 and AJ Brandt 59.

Matt Golden carded a 57 for the low score for Holyoke B. Xander Nelson and Scott Osborne carded 64s while Troy Brown shot a 66.

The Dragons were scheduled to host a large group of teams Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Ballyneal Golf Club. Thursday, Sept. 6 the varsity team is scheduled to travel to Estes Park for an 8 a.m. tournament.

Tuesday, Sept. 11, the team will be in Fort Morgan for a 10 a.m. tournament.
