An informational meeting on random drug testing was held in the HHS auditorium Sept. 5, with close to 100 in attendance.

In Phillips County’s only contest in the primary election Tuesday, Miss Pauline Watson won the Republican nod for county assessor candidate over Paul Plummer.
James Scholl and Geo. B. Garland recently opened Avco Sales Co., the authorized Piper dealer in this area. They offer flying lessons, Sunday afternoon rides for the public, charter trips and airplane ambulance service.
Warm weather returned to the plains region Monday after a period of chilly temperatures that caused heavy damage to crops in some areas.
