Bradley Brunner, son of Glendia and Mike Brunner of Hyannis, Neb., has earned a spot on the Men’s Air Pistol All-Star Developmental Team for the Olympics.
On April 16 and 17, he competed in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center against 48 other top shooters in the United States for a position on the team.
Brunner was sitting in first place at the end of the first round. In the second round, he earned second place. The top eight shooters went on to the final round, where Brunner ended in second-place overall after hitting a 1205 out of a possible 1300.
Brunner graduated from Arthur High School Saturday, May 9. He will be attending college in Arizona in the fall. He will continue training at the Olympic Center in Colorado Springs, and has an excellent chance of making the United States Olympic Team for the 2012 Olympics.
He is the grandson of the late Nancy Schaeffer and the nephew of Michael and Tricia Coyne of Holyoke.
