Jumping into action Monday night, Nov. 24, Holyoke’s junior high boys battled it out in a tough two point loss in an A team match up, while B and C teams both picked up wins. The boys also played Dec. 1 at Haxtun, with results to follow in the next Enterprise.
Holyoke A 33, Imperial 35
After a hard fight throughout the game the Dragons came just short of a victory losing by two, 33-35. Holyoke’s leading scorer was Jaydin Goldenstein with 18 points, including one three-pointer. Deyten Klein scored six, Brett Cumming five, Trevor Dalton three and Phillip Beck one.
Holyoke B 37, Imperial 17
The B team came out with a strong lead by 23, winning 37-14. Top scorers of the game were Trevor Dalton, Logan Tharp and Saul Ramos all scoring eight points each. Tanner Smith scored four, Carlos Diaz three and Bradley Coyne, Ryan Parker and Alfredo Santos all scored two.
Holyoke C 18, Imperial 15
The C team game was a basket for basket match-up, but in the end Holyoke prevailed with the win by three, 18-15.
Top scorer of the game was Zack Roll with six points, including one three-pointer. Ryan Parker scored four points and Bradley Coyne, Jarod Jaeger, Ryan Krogmeier and Trae McCallum all scored two.
Holyoke will host a JH B Tournament here Saturday, Dec. 6 and Tuesday, Dec. 9 HJHS boys will travel to Madrid, Neb.
