Warmer temperatures over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend provided the perfect time for residents in Holyoke to get out and put up Christmas decorations. Above, the train that keeps on growing is on display in the yard of Ron and Roxi Miles’ home. They also have a family of “post people,” pictured below, in their yard.

Judging for the 21st Annual Holiday Lighting Contest will be held Monday-Thursday, Dec. 10-13. Any lighting display within the Holyoke City Limits or in a half-mile radius is eligible. To be included for judging, simply have lights turned on and/or decorations up at 6 p.m. each evening, Dec. 10-13. Those who want to make sure the judges don’t miss their display or another display, contact Holyoke City Office at 854-2266 or The Holyoke Enterprise at 854-2811.
