|Green, gold baseball coaches announced|
|Written by Jes-c Brandt|
Both Kyle Bules and Stefan Betley have returned this summer for their second year coaching the Holyoke summer baseball teams. Into their third week of practice and having played several games already, the two noted they have good numbers this year, and anticipate a strong season.
Bules, the coach for the gold teams, has been the HHS baseball coach for three years, and coached elsewhere for eight years before that. There are gold teams in the 8-10 Pee Wee age group and the 13-15 Babe Ruth division. In his second year with the boys, Bules is coaching some returning players, as well as some new ones. He is excited to fine tune the skills of both. Clint Goldenstein will be assistant coach for the season.
Betley, also in his second year as summer baseball coach, is coaching the green teams. They have players in all three age groups: Pee Wee, Babe Ruth and the 11-12 Little League. Betley has been the assistant softball coach at HHS for the last two years, and coached for three years at Fleming High School. He is looking forward to a fun summer and hopes to get out there and win some games. Brent Vasa, an HHS baseball player, will be assisting the green teams this summer.
Bules and Betley will be joining summer softball coaches Kia Kassman, Kelsey Scott and Danielle Olofson to coach this year’s coed t-ball team.
